Soprano singer Anita Somogyi and organist Levente Kuzma both graduated from the Faculty of Music of the University of Szeged. They have performed together as a permanent artistic duo for more than twenty years, giving numerous successful concerts across Europe and Asia. Their performances focus on the unique relationship between the organ and the human voice, a combination that offers exceptionally rich musical and emotional expressive possibilities.
Their repertoire spans from the Baroque period to contemporary music. Their concert programmes regularly feature works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Liszt, Béla Bartók, and Zoltán Kodály, alongside compositions by distinguished contemporary Hungarian and international composers. They consider it a central mission to present the rich heritage of Hungarian musical culture to international audiences, with particular emphasis on representative works from the contemporary Hungarian vocal and organ repertoire.
Levente Kuzma is one of the leading representatives of his generation of Hungarian organists. An award-winning performer at international competitions, he appears regularly at prestigious concert venues throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. He serves as a faculty member at the Faculty of Music of the University of Szeged and is also the Artistic Director of several international organ festivals and concert series.
Anita Somogyi is a dedicated ambassador of Hungarian vocal culture. In addition to her performing career, she serves as Director of the Szolnok International Organ Festival, which has developed into one of Hungary's leading international organ music events in recent years. The festival regularly welcomes distinguished international artists and emerging young talents, fostering cultural dialogue and strengthening international professional cooperation.
The purpose of the concert tour in Argentina is to strengthen the cultural ties between Hungarian and Argentine musical traditions. Throughout its history, Argentina has embraced the European classical music heritage while enriching universal culture with its own unique artistic values and traditions. These concerts provide an opportunity for Argentine audiences to discover the works of Hungarian composers and to experience the rich traditions of Hungarian organ and vocal music.
We also consider it particularly significant that Argentina is home to one of the largest and most influential Hungarian diaspora communities in Latin America. Over several generations, this community has preserved its Hungarian cultural heritage and national identity. Our concerts therefore aim not only to introduce Hungarian musical art to Argentine audiences, but also to offer local Hungarian communities an opportunity to reconnect with their cultural roots and to strengthen their ties with their ancestral homeland.
